Accounts Receivable SpecialistPut your creativity to work: Kickstart your career at BCD M&E Accounts Receivable Specialist (Hybrid) Full time, Chicago (This is primarily a work from home role, with the requirement to come to the office once a week to manage the deposit)We are looking for a diligent Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our accounting department. The Account Receivable Specialist's responsibilities include issuing client invoices, posting of client payments, monitoring department email box, and weekly AR collections.What You'll DoInvoice for Venue Sourcing hotel commissions using our Empower toolProvide cash Forecasting weekly if not daily in Treasury Metrics toolPrepare client invoicing and/or upload into client portalsBe accountable for the reconciliation and posting of credit card payment activity and feesProvide back up for daily posting of cash from our bank account into SAP systemAllocate cash postings to individual AR invoicesResearch unidentified incoming receipts as related to hotel commissionsBe responsible for inquiries for payments & depositsProvide collection follow-up internally or directly with vendors, clients & suppliersExtract, sort, research and review commissions from various supplier portalsMeet daily, weekly, and month end deadlines including collection targetsSupport Vice President and Senior Finance Manager on special projects where neededWhat You'll BringA few years of Accounts Receivable experience in corporate meetings events, business travel, hotels or housing bureauIntermediate skills in Excel; including solid skills with X-Lookup featureGood follow-through on goals, plans, and projectsThe ability to meet deadlines, take direction, and work well with othersKnowledge of SAP a plusAbout usAt BCD Meetings & Events (BCD M&E), we provide more than meeting and event planning services: we create connections that inspire, motivate and change behavior for our customers. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience and geographical location.
