M-F, Days, Nights, on call rotational and weekend coverage may be needed.Work Location: University of Miami Hospital & Clinics - Cardio Lab UTowerCORE JOB FUNCTIONSSearches for abnormalities in blood flow sounds, heart rhythm, oxygen saturation, and the appearance of the heart.Positions patients and explains procedures.Performs quality control functions.Evaluates ultrasounds for diagnostic quality.Prepares and sets up medical supplies using aseptic techniques.Develops ultrasound film and matches it with the appropriate paperwork for interpretation.Assists with the maintenance and compilation of statistical data.Provides training to new and student cardiac ultrasound technologists.Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as necessary.CORE QUALIFICATIONSEducation:Associate degree in relevant field requiredCertification and Licensing:Refer to department description for applicable certification requirementsExperience:Minimum 3 years of relevant experience requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Learning Agility: Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols, and adapt to changing priorities and work demands.Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment.
