Key Highlights Weekly pay: $1,909–$2,009 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour shifts Start date: 06/29/2026 Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility with an Acute Care unit Responsibilities Deliver and coordinate high-quality nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation) in compliance with the South Dakota Nurse Practice Act and facility policies. Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Administer medications, fluids, and respiratory therapies as prescribed; monitor patient responses. Recognize changes in patient conditions, report promptly, and adjust care plans accordingly. Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient status, interventions, and outcomes. Educate patients and families about medications, treatments, and ongoing care after discharge; provide discharge teaching. Organize time, prioritize tasks, and ensure infection control and safety policies are followed; provide leadership and guidance to assigned staff. Participate in orientation and training of new team members; support a positive, collaborative work environment. Requirements Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Dakota or eligibility for reciprocity. Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and leadership skills. Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement. Prior acute care or hospital nursing experience preferred, but not required. Ability to work in a fast-paced 12-hour shift within an Acute Care unit in a skilled nursing setting.
