C4I Electronic Engineering Technician

This position has not yet been formally opened until a suitable candidate is identified. We are seeking a C4I Electronic Engineering Technician to support operations at Portsmouth, NewHampshire. Essential Responsibilities Drawing reviews System Operability Verification Test (SOVT) support Site inspections to assess production status Research to support fact‑finding evolutions, critique resolution, mitigation of onsite issues, and LAR generation Creation of cable test plans and performance on onsite cable validation testing Collateral duties as required by NIWC AIT‑M Minimum Requirements Active Secret US Government security clearance and ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance (US citizenship required) Five years of practical experience and a high school diploma/GED, or three years of practical experience and an Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology, math, or science, or formal electronics training from a technical school, ClassA or B military school in electronics or communications, or a four‑year electronics apprentice program Ability to travel up to 20% as required Ability to support a flexible tasking schedule, including potential shift changes based on tasking needs CANES and/or CSRR experience aboard US Navy submarines Familiarity with the requirements for installing C4I systems aboard US Navy submarines Strong electrical/communications background focusing on troubleshooting connection issues, connector inspections, and cable testing (copper&fiber) Experience with operational use of cable/connector test equipment, including fiber cable testing and repair Preferred Qualifications Active Top Secret clearance Alteration Installation Team Lead Technician or Senior Installation Technician experience with a focus on submarine C4I installations and QA Current Supervisor/QA Inspector certification for copper cables and connectors on US Navy ships Current Supervisor/QA Inspector certification for fiber cables and connectors on US Navy ships Compensation & Benefits US hourly minimum of $25.04 and up (actual compensation may vary) Hourly rate with overtime eligibility Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Retirement benefits, including 401(k) matching Educational reimbursement Parental leave Employee stock purchase plan Tax‑saving options Disability and life insurance Pet insurance Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO) Statement Amentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
