Credit Analyst

Credit Analyst This hybrid role reports onsite at the Wood Dale office on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The Analyst will support the PHCNA departments by managing credit, accounts receivable, and cash application processes. Key Responsibilities Review and set up new customer account requests in Microsoft Dynamics, ensuring approved documentation and compliance with internal controls. Run Dun & Bradstreet reports and follow up on bank and trade references. Maintain accurate and secure credit files, including credit and sales tax exemption information, and keep all customer records current. Support PHC departments with documentation and audit requests, and update the Account Activity Register. Collect overdue invoices, resolve deductions, and reconcile accounts. Analyze the accounts receivable aged trial balance to identify delinquency issues, suggest resolutions, and recommend corrective actions. Escalate sensitive or unresolved AR and credit issues to the Credit & AR Manager or Supervisor. Manage order block releases and prepare requests for credit limit increases in line with PHC Credit Policy. Build positive relationships with internal and external customers, addressing requests and issues promptly. Assist with month‑end reporting, analytics, and metrics. Participate in special projects such as internal control analysis, audits, and process improvement initiatives. Prepare and post daily cash in bank lockbox payments, reconcile cash on account and credit card payments, and ensure balanced reporting with general ledgers. Qualifications High school diploma required; college degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years in credit roles; experience in accounts receivable and/or cash application is a plus. Knowledge of accounting, credit, collections, banking, sales tax, and financial functions. Proficiency with Microsoft products (Dynamics AX, Outlook, Excel, Word). National Association of Credit Managers (NACM) classes preferred. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $60,000 – $65,000 per year, with a 10% discretionary annual bonus potential.
