About the Position

The unit typically has 30 operating rooms. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1. Staffing includes OR RNs, surgical techs, care techs, schedulers, and anesthesia techs. Various equipment is used in the operating room. The documentation system in use is Epic. There is a night shift block schedule with no call obligations. Floating to other units is not required. Candidates must have experience with Level II or Level I trauma cases. Nurses are required to circulate across all service lines, including incoming traumas. Procedures performed in the unit encompass all service lines. Dress code requires navy scrubs that are home laundered. Unit specific policies and guidelines are available.
