Iowa Lutheran Hospital, a service of UnityPoint Health – Des Moines, has a long history of serving the Des Moines community and Central Iowa. The hospital specializes in emergency care, chemical dependency treatment, behavioral health medicine, general surgery, critical care, cardiovascular care, and inpatient rehabilitation care. Iowa Lutheran is also home to one of Iowa's largest, private hospital-based behavioral health facilities. Combining advanced medical care with psychiatric diagnostic and treatment capabilities, it addresses mental illness and emotional or behavioral problems alike. Iowa Lutheran's capabilities include child and adolescent psychiatry.
