General Manager

Job Summary
Soccer House is seeking a dynamic and hands-on General Manager (GM) to lead our unique
soccer-focused hospitality venue with a high degree of autonomy and decision-making authority.
This role requires an energetic leader to oversee our bar, restaurant, and cafe operations and
deliver on our mission to create the best soccer-watching experience and a vibrant community
for soccer fans.

The General Manager will be exclusively responsible for daily operations, P&L, and staff while
working directly with ownership to develop budgets, drive strategic initiatives, and create
partnerships and brand extensions.

The ideal candidate is an experienced operator with a strategic business mind who wants real
operational control and is comfortable being accountable for results; equally at home managing
the business metrics and jumping on the floor when the business demands it.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Guest Experience
● Own all daily bar, restaurant, and café operations, including cleanliness, organization,
and safety standards
● Uphold a consistently high standard of hospitality across all dayparts, from early-morning
matches service through late-night kickoffs
● Work hands-on in frontline roles when business demands it
● Maintain venue’s fan shop of retail soccer merchandise

Team Leadership
● Hire, develop, and lead the front-of-house team; build a positive, accountable culture.
● Create staff schedules aligned with fluctuating match and event demand
● Make real-time labor decisions, including proactive cuts during slower hours, to protect
margins

Bar Program & Culinary Collaboration
● Own the bar program end to end: inventory control, ordering, vendor relationships, and
menu development
● Partner with the Chef to maintain food standards and develop specials that connect food
and soccer culture
Soccer Programming
● Manage execution of the venue's soccer programming, including a robust weekly
calendar of match screenings and regular soccer-related events
● Ensure staffing and operations are prepared for high-volume matchdays

Financial Accountability
● Own budget projections and align labor and expenses with target metrics
● Manage purchasing, inventory, and vendor relationships across all departments
● Work with bookkeepers to ensure vendors are paid on time and budgets are met
● Review financial performance with ownership and collaborate on growth strategy

Qualifications
● 3–5+ years of management experience in restaurants, sports bars, or sports
entertainment venues
● Strong financial acumen, with direct experience managing P&L, food and liquor costs,
labor costs, and budget projections.
● Strong culinary and beverage knowledge, with experience collaborating with kitchen
leadership on menus.
● Proven track record of building staff schedules, executing real-time labor decisions, and
fostering a positive team culture.
● Working knowledge of international soccer schedules, calendars, and competitions, and
how match windows across leagues and tournaments drive traffic and staffing needs.
● Flexible, hands-on work ethic with a willingness to work late nights, early weekends, and
key matchdays.
