Mechanic

Position Overview The mechanic will be responsible for all phases of inspection, DCI, assembly, and testing of assigned work on turbines, compressors, pumps, and reciprocating equipment within the Wellsville service center. Job Responsibilities Ensure all work done safely. Maintain quality with zero quality escapes. Document all steps for received, disassembly, assembly, and testing. Receive job assignments from product line lead. Adhere to shop routers and processes. Set up and machine parts on lathes, mills, grinders, and other machine tools. Clean parts using brushes, cleaners, and shot blast. Measure parts with micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools. Participate in repair path development. Assemble and test equipment. Operate fork trucks, cranes, and other parts movement equipment. Work from blueprints, manuals, and other written and verbal guidelines. Qualifications Creative thinker capable of developing cost‑effective solutions. Highly organized and detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving skills. Approachable, acts with integrity, and provides excellent service. Strong mechanical aptitude with an oil & gas industry background. Minimum five years of experience. Behavioral Profile Language Skills Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Write correspondence and communicate effectively with customers. Explain problems and resolutions in a customer‑friendly manner. Communicate issues, concerns, and updates with account managers. Mathematical Skills Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Compute rate, ratio, and percent; draw and interpret graphs. Reasoning Ability Apply common sense to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form. Handle problems with multiple concrete variables in standardized situations. Prioritize multiple tasks and lead/teach colleagues. Physical Demands Regularly use hands, stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. Lift or move up to 50 pounds.
