Responsibilities

• Collects data relevant to the resident's physical and psychosocial condition on an ongoing basis and communicates findings to the RN and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Contributes to the creation of a developmentally age-appropriate and culturally relevant plan of resident care.
• Recommends revisions to the plan of care after evaluating resident outcomes and indicates the need for referrals.
• Maintains current knowledge and competency in nursing practice and participates in the mentoring/orientation of staff.
• Demonstrates leadership under the direction of the RN in the professional practice setting.

Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is reasonably anticipated; required tasks involve potential contact with blood, body fluids, or tissues.
