Food Service Operations Manager I

GENERAL SUMMARY The Food Service Manager is responsible for maximizing the Store's Food Service sales, delivering and inspiring excellent customer service, maintaining quality and safety standards, effectively managing inventory, and controlling cost. The ability and desire to build and motivate a high‑performing team is also required. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Workforce Management and Development: Manage the daily operation of all Food Service Areas (Made to Order Food, Commissary Food, Bakery, Dispensed Beverage—including coffee, fountain, & slush, self‑service, and full‑service); deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction; respond to customer complaints; organize and supervise shifts; appraise staff performance; train new and current employees; enforce company procedures; perform additional store tasks as assigned by the Store Manager. Customer Service: Provide the best customer experience to every customer; greet customers with a smile and sincere greeting; suggest possible purchases and promote specials; assume full responsibility for the execution of Nouria's customer service program at the site level. Safety & Station Appearance: Minimize safety risks; ensure employees are trained in safety policies and procedures; enforce environmental and hazardous material regulations; maintain safety and security of the store; document accidents or incidents; manage the maintenance of the customer environment; operate all equipment safely and efficiently; investigate workplace accidents, injuries, or illnesses; conduct new employee safety orientation; inspect stores for hazards and initiate corrective action; encourage employees to report unsafe conditions and promote quick return to work. QUALIFICATIONS ServSafe Certification. Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager, Restaurant General Manager, or similar role. Proven customer service experience as a manager with a track record for problem solving. Extensive food and beverage knowledge. Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills. Working knowledge of food service and coffee equipment. Ability to troubleshoot minor problems. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Must be able to traverse and access all areas of the store. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Prolonged periods of standing. Enmarket is an equal opportunity employer.
