Job Requirements:
\n• The Telemetry/Med Surg RN is responsible for the clinical management of the unit.
\n• Assures compliance with professional, regulatory, governmental, and organizational standards.
\n• Assures satisfaction of patients while educating them on lifestyle changes and updates regarding the diagnosis, medication, and discharge instructions, prior to discharge from the hospital.
\n• Charts observations and activities related to patient care in electronic health record.
\n• Provides safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population using critical thinking skills, advocacy abilities and ethical approaches.
\n• Guides and directs assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care.
\n• Assesses signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient’s condition and reports changes to the physician.
\n• Performs interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, infection control and hospital policies and patient care outcome standards.
\n• Actively participates in Quality Assurance/Process Improvement initiatives to improve patient safety and outcomes, such as monitoring compliance of core measures, infection control practices, etc.
\n \nQualifications:
\n- \n
- Associate degree from a professional nursing program (required) \n
- BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing (preferred) \n
- Current Registered Nurse License in this state (Illinois) \n
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required) \n
- 1 year of experience in clinical expertise to which applying (required) \n
- Able to work various hours as needed. \n
