Overview Piedmont Health Services, Inc. (PHS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit Federally Qualified Health Center in North Carolina. The organization has delivered primary health care for 55 years and operates 11 Community Health Centers, two PACE SeniorCare facilities, and 2 Mobile Health Units serving residents across five counties: Alamance, Caswell, Chatham, Orange, and Lee. Position Job Title: Lead Dentist Department: Dental Reports to: Chief Dental Officer Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance (Short & Long Term Disability) 403(b) Plan Paid Holidays CME (Continuing Medical Education) Location & Schedule Work Location: Carrboro Community Health Center – 301 Lloyd St, Carrboro, NC 27510 Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm Travel: N/A Job Duties The Lead Dentist provides dental leadership at the center and manages all aspects of dental care, including clinical oversight, staff management, and patient care delivery. Minimum Qualifications Experience/Licensure: Licensed to practice dentistry in North Carolina with a current unrestricted DEA number. Recommended by two other dentists or possess documented first‑hand knowledge of a dentist’s practice. One year of postgraduate residency training preferred and/or equivalent experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Competency in general dentistry; commitment to community health principles such as patient care regardless of ability to pay, health promotion, disease prevention, and personnel management of dentists, hygienists, and assistants. Immunizations: Must be medically cleared for communicable diseases and be up‑to‑date on all required immunizations before employment.
