• Employed by Deaconess Specialty Physicians working in Evansville, IN, Newburgh IN\n

  • Serving patients in the tri-state region of Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky

• Candidates should be BC/BE in Cardiothoracic Surgery
\n
• Candidate must have completed a CT Surgery fellowship and be proficient in coronary artery bypass grafting, mitral valve and aortic valve replacements, and experienced in TAVR procedures working with a skilled structural heart team, and additional minimally invasive and open surgical capabilities
\n
• Competitive base salary ($850K first-year guarantee) with competitive tiered wRVU compensation
\n
• Call pay salary with schedule of 1:3
\n
• Additional Quality bonus up to $50,000
\n

• Surgical PA team available for first assist

• Great support staff in inpatient hospital units and outpatient clinic

• Location: primary practice Newburgh, IN, secondary hospital work Evansville, IN
\n
• Call coverage is anticipated 1:3 weekday/weekend call
\n
• 2 surgeons supported by 3 surgical PAs in the clinic setting and hospital setting
\n
• Successful outreach clinics staffed by the Deaconess Heart Group Office in Indiana, Kentucky, and Illinois
\n
• Two dedicated OR suites at the Gateway hospitals with construction anticipated to be complete fall of 2025 on a hybrid OR suite.
\n
• Dedicated office based device staff to manage incoming referrals and scheduling
\n
• Established lead extraction program
\n
• High volume surgical program with physicians working above the 75th percentile
\n
• Evansville/Henderson is a strong community with robust local economy and high performing schools. Great area for hunting, fishing, watersports, and families.  Low cost of living and close proximity to other large cities: Louisville, Nashville, St. Louis and Indianapolis are all within 2 hour drive or less
\n
• Evansville Regional Airport with direct connections to 5 major hubs: Detroit, Charlotte, Chicago, Atlanta and Dallas

Full-time position at 40 hours per week.  This is an inpatient and outpatient practice.
