Registered Nurse I CSOT2 Surgical Services Pre op PACU

Job Description We are hiring a Pre OP PACU Registered Nurse for our Surgical Services Float Pool team. This is a full time day shift position that will float between four main hospital locations in Lee’s Summit, Overland Park, North Kansas City, and Plaza areas. Shift hours may vary between 8, 10, or 12 hours based on organizational needs. Schedules are written 8–10 weeks in advance. Part‑time days total 24 hours per week. In this role you will care for patients with a variety of conditions, procedures, and acuity levels at a Magnet Level1 Trauma Academic Medical Center (Plaza location). Responsibilities Functions independently and is accountable for utilizing the nursing process. Coordinates the care for a group of patients with the multidisciplinary team. Delegates tasks appropriately. Identifies hospital resources. Serves as a clinical resource for new employees. Demonstrates positive formal or informal leadership within unit or department. Qualifications 1 year of experience. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association or Red Cross. Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association or Red Cross. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – American Heart Association or Red Cross. Registered Nurse license in Kansas – National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS). Registered Nurse license in Missouri – National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS). Associate Degree in Nursing.
