• Implement individualized speech therapy interventions that focus on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice production, and swallowing capabilities.
• Work collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families to promote progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Provide inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions when needed, ensuring seamless care throughout the therapeutic journey.
• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner, following state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by staying informed of the latest advancements in the field through continued education and networking with peers.

Educational Requirements

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), unless already certified by ASHA.

Required Certifications

• A valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferably, a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be acquired within 30 days of commencing employment.
