B2B Account ManagerAkron, OH (onsite + client visits)We are seeking an experienced B2B Account Manager to manage and grow relationships with small and mid-sized business clients. This role will focus primarily on companies with fewer than 100 employees, helping business owners and decision-makers identify services and solutions that support their day-to-day operations and long-term goals.The ideal candidate has a strong background in business-to-business sales and account management, is comfortable working directly with small business owners and senior decision-makers, and knows how to build lasting client relationships while identifying opportunities for account growth.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and develop a portfolio of small business accounts, primarily companies with fewer than 100 employeesBuild strong, long-term relationships with business owners, executives, and key decision-makersServe as a primary point of contact for clients and maintain a high level of responsiveness and customer serviceDevelop a strong understanding of each client's business, needs, challenges, and goalsPresent and recommend business services and solutions based on client needsIdentify opportunities to expand existing accounts through additional services and solutionsConduct regular client follow-up and relationship managementSupport new business development efforts within the assigned market or territoryMaintain an active pipeline and track client activity, opportunities, and follow-upPartner with internal teams to ensure a smooth client experienceWork toward individual and team goals related to client retention, account growth, and new businessQualifications3–5+ years of B2B sales, account management, client relationship management, or business development experienceExperience working with small to mid-sized businesses, ideally organizations with fewer than 100 employeesExperience selling or managing accounts involving business services, professional services, or other B2B solutionsComfortable communicating directly with business owners, executives, and other decision-makersProven ability to build relationships, retain clients, and identify opportunities for account growthStrong consultative sales and needs-assessment skillsExcellent communication, organization, and follow-up skillsAbility to manage multiple client relationships and priorities simultaneouslyComfortable working toward performance and revenue goalsExperience using a CRM or similar client management system preferredIdeal BackgroundCandidates may come from a variety of B2B industries, including business services, payroll or HR services, financial services, insurance, telecommunications, technology, office services, professional services, or other environments focused on supporting small business clients.We're looking for someone who is relationship-driven, consultative, proactive, and comfortable owning the client relationship from initial conversation through ongoing account management and growth.
