Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: RN - ER Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36-48 hours per week (3x12s) Experience: Recent EPIC experience required License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Must-Have: AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS, AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS required Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues. Develops a care plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the care plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and safety. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for patients or their situations. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers in providing care in a safe, healing, and humane environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients and family members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment teams. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates the duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to the safety and well-being of associates and patients. Requires all associates to receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment.
