Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time floating retail pharmacist position is available for an experienced professional willing to cover multiple locations across Iowa, including Dubuque, Preston, Bellevue, Independence, and Monticello. This 13-week contract begins mid-July and offers a dynamic role within a high-volume pharmacy environment.

Location:

• Multiple sites in Iowa (Dubuque, Preston, Bellevue, Independence, Monticello)
• Floating between rural and busy urban areas

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday, 1st shift
• Occasional Saturdays (half days)
• Shift options: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Dispense medications accurately and safely under managerial supervision
• Counsel patients regarding medication usage and regimens with professionalism and clarity
• Address patient questions, concerns, and complaints following organizational standards
• Maintain stock, controlled drug records, and perform regular inventory checks
• Resolve patient and insurance third-party coverage issues effectively

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Active, clear pharmacist license in Iowa
• Minimum of 1 year of retail pharmacy experience
• Comfortable and efficient working in a high-volume pharmacy setting (Dubuque scripts average 2800–3000/day)
• Proficiency with McKesson Enterprise pharmacy software is a plus
