MRI Technologist

Role: MRI Technologist responsible for positioning and immobilizing patients, selecting appropriate protocols, and performing high-quality MRI scans. Key Responsibilities Selects technical factors and protocols tailored to each patient and procedure. Operates MRI support equipment, including contrast media injectors and post-processing tools. Initiates IVs for contrast administration, reviews patient charges, and produces imaging CDs. Coordinates patient scheduling, maintains logs, and documents procedures for quality assurance. Secures patient history, allergy information, and ensures all images are correctly sent and documented. Ensures patient safety by adhering to safety standards, screening, and responding to emergencies. Transfers patients safely, maintains a clean environment, and verifies patient identity. Manages supplies, prepares scan rooms, and stays updated on MRI protocols and technologies. Provides guidance to staff and students, fosters positive guest relations, and supports team efforts. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of 2-year Radiology or MRI program; ARRT or ARMRIT certification. Knowledge of MRI physics, safety protocols, and cross-sectional anatomy. Board eligible for MRI, CPR certified, and able to lift up to 35 pounds. Flexible hours, willingness to work overtime, and respond to emergency calls. #J-18808-Ljbffr
