Senior Business Analyst

Position Summary The Senior Business Analyst will support strategic business initiatives including RT Specialty’s technical solution and business processes. This position will be a vital link between our solutions and our business objectives and will be responsible for the identification, management, and implementation of business processes and digital solutions leading to increased efficiency and integration in all areas of RT Specialty. You will be tasked to lead or participate in multiple, complex projects utilizing and leveraging your own skillsets while also collaborating across teams. What will your job entail? Essential Functions Build relationships and partnerships with key business stakeholders, staying current on their needs, challenges and strategies. Gather detailed requirements, identify improvements and best practices, propose new or optimized solutions and develop execution strategies, ensuring long-term business strategies are met Produce and maintain detailed documentation related to projects, solutions and processes. Project documentation may include business requirements, scope, use cases, future state proposals, etc. Develop and execute a project communication plan for updates, facilitating project meetings, working sessions, and presentations. Communications should be tailored for diverse audiences. Gather, synthesize, and analyze complex data to recognize trends and extract insights across the business to support your own informed decisions or to assist other team members and leadership in making sound decisions Coordinate user acceptance testing, developing UAT plans and testing strategies when necessary, to ensure solutions meet current business needs, with a focus on future scalability Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in relevant software, solutions and business processes to define requirements, provide recommendations, develop action plans and provide advice and guidance. Adapt to competing demands, organizational changes and new responsibilities Participate in agile team sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives as needed, while often participating in multiple projects of varying sizes with competing priorities Provide leadership to team members and peers by collaborating with others, articulating ideas and viewpoints, identifying and initiating projects, managing resources and holding self and team accountable for results Lead or participate in multiple, complex projects meeting with project team regularly to monitor project milestones and results, identify blockers or risks that may impact project progress, coordinating actions and resolving conflict with the project manager and escalating when necessary to the appropriate stakeholder and management channels Identify ways to increase adoption and user satisfaction, ultimately improving the customer experience Education/Experience/Skills Bachelor’s Degree (BS) and 3 - 5 years of relevant experience required, preferably with consultative experience or business/systems analysis in a complex business environment. Prior experience in the property and casualty insurance industry is desirable Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills Experience with Agile development techniques and supporting tools desirable Prior experience using Jira and Confluence is desirable Experience with insurance policy management/administration systems is desirable Project management skills such as defining scope, maintaining project plans and driving project teams desirable Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions Able to cultivate interpersonal client, partner, co-worker and executive relationships Experience handling multiple deliverables and moving adeptly between internal and external issues and interactions Willingness to learn new technologies and take on new responsibilities Ability to perform job duties and manage workload with little or no supervision Demonstrating a strong work ethic and setting an example of excellence Ability to multi-task while consistently maintaining strong attention to detail Able to work in a dynamic, fast-moving company environment Ability to meet designated deadlines with a strong sense of urgency Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and handle sensitive material concerning employees, the company, company partners, and end-customer Ryan Specialty is an Equal Opportunity Employer. The target salary range for this position is $106,080.00 - $132,600.00 annually. The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands.
