Physical Therapist (PT) Inpatient Rehab Location: Alexandria, VA, United States. Job Description: Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is looking for a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to join our Inpatient Rehab team. This role is full‑time, day shift (Monday‑Friday) with rotating weekends and holidays, 9:00 am‑5:30 pm. You will have access to state‑of‑the‑art technologies and 1:1 mentoring from dedicated clinical specialists. Responsibilities Complete daily progress notes reflecting patients' responses to treatment, actual performance, and assessment of status relevant to the treatment plan, including discharge needs and treatment summaries as needed. Contact families, physicians, and other team members in a timely manner to facilitate effective treatment plans, provide educational materials, and include families/caregivers in education and training. Give instruction and supervision to assistive personnel consistent with program and regulatory requirements. Apply knowledge of therapeutic techniques during evaluations and throughout treatment, adjusting treatment plans regularly as patients' status changes. Assume complete responsibility for Physical Therapy patient management from initial contact to discharge for functional progress, safety, and treatment outcomes. Develop goals and treatment plans prioritized based on input from patients, families, and team members, reflecting evaluation findings. Formulate comprehensive treatment plans to improve functional status and address reasons for referrals. Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. Licensure: Physical Therapist upon start (VA licensure or compact privileges). Certification: BLS through the American Heart Association upon start.
