Production Supervisor

Base Pay $72,745.00 - $100,025.00 / Year Employee Type Full-Time Phone View phone number on click.appcast.io Email View email address on click.appcast.io The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations and managing production staff at our Bainbridge, GA facility to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing performance. Functions of the Position: Supervise production operations, personnel, and safety initiatives for assigned production areas or lines. Ensure production KPIs are met on a monthly and annual basis, including line efficiency, downtime, changeovers, overfill, pounds per labor hour, and units or pounds per minute. Train, evaluate, coach, and develop JBSS production employees; oversee and manage temporary labor within assigned work areas. Manage and execute the daily and weekly production schedule to meet operational and customer requirements. Support and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives; communicate and coordinate with other shift supervisors and the Operations Manager to ensure smooth shift transitions. Review and monitor production documentation (e.g., work orders, pre-operational checks) to ensure compliance with JBSS quality programs and procedures, preventing product holds, rework, or recalls. Identify and address production issues across the facility to drive ongoing performance improvements. Provide input and support in resolving maintenance issues, proactively addressing repeat downtime by ensuring operator preventive maintenance (PMs) are completed accurately and on time. Make proactive recommendations and offer solutions to the Production Manager to improve production output, efficiency, and overall performance. Maintain assigned work areas in an audit-ready condition; actively support internal and external audits and audit preparation activities. Education, Experience, and Knowledge Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a food manufacturing environment required. Skills and Competencies Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with strong reporting and data analysis capabilities. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Strong decision-making, planning, and leadership abilities. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills. High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
