The Quality Team is a matrix organization within Beyond Meat that is dedicated to creating food products that are leading the gold standard in plant-based proteins. They are looking for an outstanding individual to join the team located in Devault, PA as a Quality Assurance Technician.The Quality Assurance (QA) Technician plays a critical role in ensuring that all products manufactured meet regulatory requirements, customer specifications, and company quality and food safety standards. This position is responsible for monitoring production processes, completing required documentation, conducting inspections and testing, and supporting compliance with food safety and quality programs. The QA Technician actively enforces regulatory standards and serves as a champion of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) throughout the facility.TASKS, DUTIES, & GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIESPerform daily quality checks on production lines and processes throughout the shiftComplete and maintain accurate documentation related to production, packaging, labeling, food safety, and product qualityCollect and document microbiological, environmental, retention, and new equipment swab samplesVerify cleaning and sanitation effectiveness through organoleptic inspections and ATP swabbingConduct internal audits for GMPs and other food safety prerequisite programsWork closely with production leadership during active production and shutdown periodsProvide required documentation and print labels for production as neededSupport troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives related to quality systemsEnforce compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and customer standardsModel and coach team members on proper GMP practicesAdhere to all facility policies regarding safety, security, and food safetyFollow all company safety programs and proceduresIdentify opportunities for process improvements and communicate findings effectivelyPerform other duties as assignedSupervisory DutiesNoneQUALIFICATIONSEducation, Technical Skills, and/or Previous Experience:High School Diploma or GED2 to 3 years of experience in a food and/or beverage manufacturing environment preferredPrior quality assurance experience requiredOther qualifications:Must be capable of writing detailed reports, providing general day-to-day oversight, and related correspondencesStrong mathematical skillsStrong problem solving and project management skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to multitaskExcellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; self-motivated and highly organizedWORK ENVIRONMENTWarehouse and production manufacturing environment that includes both tempered and ambient areas.The work environment is representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
