Registered Nurse/PICU

Travel Nurse Opportunity - PICU/CICU First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply; however, candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty area they are seeking. Experience Requirements At least 2 years of PICU experience with some exposure to CICU. Float and Shift Details Float capability is required. Nurses may be asked to float to other units, including CICU (CVPICU), as needed. High census has made floating infrequent, but travelers are the first to float if census decreases and will be notified at the start of their shift. Rotating shifts based on unit needs, including days and nights. Patient ratios are typically 1:1 or 1:2. Blocked schedules can be arranged if the nurse agrees to work all weekends. Certifications BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required. Scheduling and Time Off Requests for return to office (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application; late requests will not be honored. A maximum of 5 days off can be requested. Block scheduling requests are only accepted for weekends (Friday through Sunday). Every other weekend (EOW) work is required. Travel nurses are expected to work at least 2 holidays during their contract. Additional Requirements All candidates must be fully vaccinated; no exceptions.
