Lead Java Engineer

JOB SUMMARY We are seeking an experienced Lead Java Engineer to drive the modernization of our systems from Cobol to Java. This role will be instrumental in defining and implementing architectural strategies, including API-first and event-driven approaches, with a focus on ISO 20022 and SWIFT modernization. The position also involves enabling AI-assisted development and migration, as well as establishing robust observability and reliability practices. Key Responsibilities • Drive modernization strategy and delivery from Cobol to Java.

• Drive ISO 20022 and SWIFT modernization efforts.
• Enable AI-assisted development and migration processes.
• Implement observability and reliability practices. Required Qualifications • 12-18 years of experience with strong leading expertise.
• Payments domain expertise, including ISO 20022 and SWIFT.
• Hands-on expertise in Java, Microservices, Kafka, and Databases.
• Strong reusable design and architectural skills.
• Mainframe and DB2 modernization experience.
