Hiring Department College of Optometry Clinics Job Description Supports and facilitates all aspects of the system credentialsverification process for optometric staff and other healthprofessional appointments and re-appointments. Maintaining HIPAAcompliance with medical record release and reports. Facilitates andcommunicates with community service constituents through the MobileEye Van and other community outreach. Assist in the credentialing process and re-credentialingprocess for optometric staff and others as appropriate. Ensure ongoing state licensure. Assemble, prepare and verify credentialing information. Identify questionable or highly sensitive information. Assure accuracy of records and maintain a state of readinessfor review/audit by delegated entities, licensing and accreditingagencies. Enter credentialing data into systems and maintain/updatedatabases as needed. Follow-up on data inconsistencies. Utilize database to produce reports, lists and rosters. Maintain and monitor all privilege lists as needed, includingCompulink. Maintain the permanent credentials files on all applicablefaculty. Assure the confidentiality and integrity of all aspects of thecredentialing verification program and process. Maintain documentation of malpractice insurance forfaculty. Maintain patient record release requests, communication andpatient referral records. Communicates with Community Service constituents Assemble, prepare and maintain insurance agreements. May be required to perform other duties as assigned. Shift 40 hours/week. Monday thru Friday Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education andexperience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparableknowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications One-year experience with credentialing preferred Knowledge of HIPAA privacy and compliance standards Superior organizational skills and strong oral and writtencommunication skills Ability to work independently and to prioritize and managemultiple tasks and produce results Must maintain confidentiality of highly confidentialinformation regarding sensitive personal/professionalinformation Anticipated Hiring Range Salary Range: $19.00 - $23.00 hourly Grade: GGS-007 University Title: Senior Office Support Assistant Internal applicants can determine their University title byaccessing the Talent Profile tile in myHR.
