Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor of Creative Writing Middlebury College, Middlebury, VT – Full‑time, 1‑year position beginning fall 2026 in the English Department. Responsibilities Teach two fall courses, one month‑long intensive winter term course, and two spring courses. Deliver Introduction to Creative Writing courses and advanced Fiction and Nonfiction workshops. Advise creative writing theses. Qualifications MFA in Creative Writing. Experience teaching creative writing courses at the college or university level. Writer of fiction with a secondary specialization in creative nonfiction, or writer of creative nonfiction with a secondary specialization in fiction. Location & Compensation On‑campus, Vermont.
