Operations Research AnalystITA International is seeking an Operations Research Analyst to join our team.ResponsibilitiesJoin a growing company supporting Installations Commands across the public sector with analytic, modeling, and simulation capabilities covering predictive, prescriptive, diagnostic, and descriptive analytics methods in order to optimize command performance. A Journeyman Operations Research Analyst uses advanced analytical methods, such as optimization, simulation, data mining, statistical analysis, regression, and mathematical modeling to develop solutions to help organizations operate more efficiently and cost-effectively.Design, develop, and apply a variety of mathematical optimization, decision analytics, mathematical and statistical techniques, modeling and simulation, and other analytic methods combined with judgment to solve complex operational and planning challengesDevelop mathematical optimization models using linear programming and integer linear programming methodsDevelop analytical models to support decision-makersDevelop analytical algorithms to support software developmentPerform data analysisDevelop simulation modelsModify and enhance existing analytic modelsImplement analytical models using PythonAnalyze current and planned operations to identify opportunities to improve performance and/or reduce costAssess operational questions and identify appropriate analytic methods to address them (e.g., optimization, statistical analysis, decision analysis, Monte Carlo simulation, discrete event simulation, etc.)Elicit information and relative preferences from internal and external stakeholdersAssess information to assist management with decision making and policy formulationDevelop decision briefings and analytical papers to facilitate senior leadership decisionsDocument analytical methodology, results, conclusions, and recommendations in meaningful summaries, reports, and presentationsQualificationsBachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or Management Science, or a related field4-10 years of experience in conducting analyses of management and operational problems using Operations Research techniques is requiredMeet all requirements necessary to obtain a Secret security clearance in accordance with applicable regulationsProficiency using PythonPreferred Qualifications:Proficiency in development of decision support tools in desktop/cloud environments (local shared drive, SharePoint, cloud)Skilled use of MS Excel with Visual Basic for Applications, Power BI, and other MS Office tools to support collaboration and data visualization with globally-distributed stakeholdersExperience using multiple programming languages, including Java, Python, VBA, C++, or C-Expertise with optimization and simulation analysesA Secret security clearanceBenefit and Compensation TransparencyITA International proudly complies with all federal and state benefit and pay transparency laws.
