Helpdesk Technician

ChildNet Youth & Family Services, Inc. is currently seeking Helpdesk Technicians for our Behavioral Health Services (BHS) division in Long Beach, CA.

Under the direction of the Information Technology Director, the Helpdesk Technician position is responsible for technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. The position will respond to inquiries and requests for assistance with the organization's computer systems and applications, and identify, analyze, and troubleshoot these issues.

Example of Helpdesk Technician job responsibilities:

• Provide Help Desk/Desktop technical support to company's staff/users, by phone and/or in-person.
• Communicate effectively with users to diagnose and solve problems; follow up and update users on any outstanding issues; ensure proper recording, documentation and closure of all issues related to computer systems.
• Respond to support/service requests in a timely manner.
• Ensure systems comply with and enforce company IT and security policies.
• Evaluate reported concerns to determine nature of issues (e.g., network, hardware, application, etc.).
• Install, test, and configure workstations and peripheral equipment, including setting up local and network printers/copiers.
• Document status and resolution of assigned task.
• Provide IT service/support outside of normal business hours, as needed.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Helpdesk Technician Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology systems or related field; AND
• Three (3) years of related experience.
• An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
• Experience in an Active Directory environment and in configuring Windows operating systems and standard business applications.
• Knowledge with hardware/software troubleshooting, including Windows desktops, laptops, tablets, and printers in the context of a corporate environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at one time and meet deadlines.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in a healthcare-related environment is desirable but not required.

All offers of employment with ChildNet Youth and Family Services, Inc. are contingent upon a post-offer, pre-hire medical clearance with an occupational physical, tuberculosis screening, and a negative drug test. A criminal background clearance which consists of fingerprinting through the Dept. of Justice/FBI/Child Abuse Index Search is required. An essential function of this position does require driving. Underwriting requirements of this agency include keeping a valid California driver's license, valid auto liability insurance on file, and maintaining a good driving record while employed.

Hourly Range: $28.85-$29.81

• Pay rate will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and/or a combination of those factors.
