Work Year: Continuous Employee Type: Full Time and Part Time Salary: Full Day (4.0 hours or more) $429; Part Day (3.99 Hours or less) $214.50 Basic Function Under the direction of a site principal, principal’s designee or other appropriate administrator, plan, implement, monitor, and assess a classroom instructional program License, Certifications, Bondingand/or Testing Required A valid, current Credential or 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit issued by California Commission on Teacher Credentialing is required. CalSTRS Retirees: Pursuant to Education Code section 24214.5, there is a 180-calendar day separation-from-servicerequirement for all retired CalSTRS members, regardless of age, during which the postretirementcompensation limit for the performance of retired member activities is zero dollars ($0). Sections 24214 and 24214.5 of the Education Code impose limitations on retired CalSTRS members who return to work and perform retired member activities. Education Code section 45134 precludes retired CalSTRS members and retired CalSTRS participants from employment in classified positions in the California public school system.
