Whether you're a seasoned Lead Carpenter or a skilled carpenter ready to take the next step, we want people who take pride in their work, enjoy solving problems, and want to continue growing in their trade.What You'll DoAs a Carpenter, you'll work closely with our Project Managers, Superintendents, and fellow craftsmen to deliver high-quality residential construction projects.Your responsibilities will include:Perform framing, finish carpentry, and general residential construction workRead and interpret construction drawings and project plansIdentify potential issues before they become costly problemsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsiteProduce quality work that meets company standardsCollaborate with Project Managers to keep projects on scheduleHelp train and support less experienced carpenters when appropriateCommunicate professionally with team members and clientsAssist with material planning and jobsite organizationQuality is our brand, and every carpenter plays an important role in delivering an outstanding finished product.What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications10+ years of residential carpentry experience (5 of the 10 years in luxury custom market)Take pride in your work. If & when you make a mistake, correct it as you go. A humble attitude and teachable personality. Team-first mindset. Excellent attention to detailStrong knowledge of framing and finish carpentryAbility to read blueprints and construction documentsStrong work ethic and reliabilityGood communication and problem-solving skillsReliable transportationPreferred QualificationsExperience leading or mentoring other carpentersExperience with custom homes or residential remodelingDesire to continue developing your skills and grow into leadership opportunitiesWhat Success Looks LikeThe right person for this role:Produces consistently high-quality workmanshipTakes ownership of their workWorks efficiently without sacrificing qualityHelps create a positive, productive jobsiteLooks for solutions instead of waiting for problems to growRepresents Huseby Homes professionally every dayOur Hiring ProcessWe believe the best way to evaluate a carpenter is through hands-on work.Final candidates will complete a practical skills assessment, which may include:Working alongside one of our crews for part of a day, orCompleting a carpentry project built to specified measurements while being observed by our leadership team.Compensation to be determined by your skill level ranging from $25 per hour to $40 per hour. Benefits are as follows:50% of the individual for health insurance2 weeks paid vacation1 week sick daysPaid major Holidays (5 total)After 3 years at HH you receive contributions to a SEP retirement account.Performance reviews two times a year that include bonus opportunities.
