REMOTE CLINICAL STUDY MANAGER

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Study Manager to lead the planning and execution of medical device clinical studies. This individual will be responsible for driving study activities from planning through execution, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and regulatory requirements are met.

The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical trial management experience, preferably within the medical device industry, and be comfortable partnering closely with R&D and other cross-functional teams. Experience supporting diabetes-related clinical programs is highly desirable.

This is a remote opportunity, with a preference for candidates located in the Pacific Time Zone or who are comfortable working Pacific Time hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and ongoing management of clinical studies for medical devices.
• Develop and support clinical study protocols, project plans, timelines, and key study deliverables.
• Oversee clinical site activities, including site monitoring, enrollment, recruitment, and retention strategies.
• Partner cross-functionally with R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Biostatistics, Medical Affairs, and other clinical stakeholders to ensure successful study execution.
• Track study progress, identify potential risks or delays, and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Manage clinical study budgets, vendor activities, and applicable contracts.
• Ensure studies are conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), FDA requirements, and applicable medical device clinical trial regulations, including 21 CFR Part 812.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical study documentation throughout the lifecycle of the study.
• Support overall study quality and ensure clinical activities remain aligned with regulatory and organizational requirements.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience managing and executing clinical trials or clinical studies.
• Strong experience in clinical operations, clinical project management, or clinical study management.
• Experience working within the medical device industry is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of GCP and FDA regulations governing medical device clinical investigations, including 21 CFR Part 812.
• Experience collaborating closely with R&D and cross-functional clinical development teams.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple timelines, priorities, and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, highly collaborative environment.
• Ability to work Pacific Time Zone hours.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience as a Clinical Study Manager, Clinical Trial Manager, Clinical Project Manager, or similar clinical operations professional.
• Medical device clinical trial experience.
• Experience supporting diabetes therapies or diabetes-related medical devices is highly desirable.
• Experience working on clinical programs that require significant collaboration with R&D teams.

Experience Level: Sr / Expert

Work Environment: Remote, with Pacific Time Zone availability preferred

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Los Angeles, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
