Medical Procedure Coordinator

Peninsula Pain Clinic | Full-Time

Schedule: MondayThursday, 8:00 AM5:00 PM | Friday, 8:00 AM1:00 PM Pay: $21.00$25.00/hour, depending on experience

Peninsula Pain Clinic is seeking an experienced Medical Procedure Coordinator to join our team. This position coordinates patient procedures from scheduling through completion and works closely with patients, providers, clinical staff, and insurance companies.

Medical office and medical scheduling experience are required. The ideal candidate will have experience scheduling procedures, surgeries, diagnostic testing, or other healthcare services and be comfortable working in an EMR.

Responsibilities

Schedule and coordinate patient procedures from start to finish
Communicate with patients regarding procedure dates, times, and preparation
Obtain and follow up on prior authorizations and insurance approvals
Submit and track required documentation
Review patient charts and ensure medical records are complete
Coordinate with providers and clinical staff to keep procedures on schedule
Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR
Answer patient questions and provide professional, compassionate service
Follow up on outstanding scheduling, authorization, and documentation needs

Qualifications

Required:

Previous medical office experience
Previous medical scheduling experience
Experience working with an EMR
Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy medical environment

Preferred:

Procedure or surgical scheduling experience
Prior authorization or insurance verification experience
Experience in pain management, orthopedic, surgical, or specialty care
