Assistant Fund Controller (Real Estate-Dallas)

Assistant Controller - Fund Accounting A leading alternative investment manager in Dallas is seeking an Assistant Controller to join its fund finance team. This is a highly visible, embedded role supporting a sophisticated platform, where you will partner directly with senior finance leadership while overseeing accounting and reporting activities performed by third-party fund administrators. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience in alternative investments and a strong background in closed‑end fund structures, including private credit, real estate debt, or private equity. This role is focused on reviewing and overseeing fund accounting, valuations, investor reporting, and complex fund structures rather than day‑to‑day bookkeeping. This is a primarily in‑office position requiring four days per week onsite in Dallas, TX. Compensation ranges from $140,000-$185,000 plus bonus. Responsibilities: Review quarterly NAV packages, financial statements, and investor reporting prepared by third‑party administrators Oversee accounting and reporting for complex closed‑end fund structures Review capital calls, distributions, investor allocations, and sub‑close calculations Support management fee, carried interest, and waterfall calculations Participate in valuation and fair value review processes Assist with liquidity management, credit facility activity, and deal funding Coordinate annual and interim audits Partner with internal stakeholders on reporting, fund launches, and strategic initiatives Enhance reporting processes and operational workflows Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred) 8+ years of accounting or fund finance experience within alternative investments Experience with private credit, real estate debt, private equity, or similar fund structures Strong understanding of NAV review, financial statements, waterfalls, capital activity, and investor reporting Experience overseeing third‑party fund administrators Advanced Excel skills Excellent communication and organizational abilities If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please apply directly to this ad or contact Chris at View email address on click.appcast.io for additional information. #J-18808-Ljbffr Daley And Associates, LLC
