Registered Nurse (RN) Coordinator - Med-Surg Services - St. Joseph's Health

Position Overview St. Joseph’s Health is hiring an RN Leader for the General, Urology, and Colorectal Surgery unit (Unit3-1). The unit is a fast‑paced, patient‑focused surgical unit that provides Telemetry Class2 monitoring and serves postoperative surgical cases and patients with renal disease, including peritoneal dialysis. Employment Details Full‑time, Day Shift, Telemetry Class2 floor. The position offers up to $10,000 in sign‑on/retention bonus for qualified applicants. Key Responsibilities Supervise and support nursing staff in daily operations, ensuring compliance with NYS regulations and national standards of practice. Coordinate staffing, assignments, and workflow to maintain safe patient ratios. Serve as a mentor, educator, and resource for clinical decision‑making and professional development. Facilitate communication between staff, physicians, and leadership to resolve issues promptly. Monitor quality metrics and implement process improvements for patient safety and satisfaction. Participate in performance evaluations and contribute to staff development plans. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
