Serves as a learning facilitator supporting onboarding, orientation, practice transitions, continuing education, and ongoing clinical competency. Identify educational needs and collaborate with leadership to address gaps.Policies and Procedures: Assist with developing, reviewing, updating, and implementing department policies and procedures. Educate staff on changes and reinforce consistent application in clinical practice.Department Audits: Conduct or assist with department audits to evaluate adherence to policies, procedures, documentation standards, and clinical practices. Use findings to guide education and improvement efforts.Onboarding and Orientation: Assist with onboarding and individualized orientation plans for new team members. Collaborate with preceptors and leaders to monitor progress, identify learning needs, and validate readiness for independent practice.Continuing Education: Develop and deliver education related to cardiac procedures, equipment, patient safety, sedation, emergency response, device management, and evidence-based nursing practice.Performance Improvement: Partner with interdisciplinary teams on initiatives that strengthen staff performance, improve workflows, and enhance patient outcomes.Clinical Areas SupportedCardiac Catheterization: Diagnostic catheterizations, coronary interventions, complex cardiac procedures, hemodynamic monitoring, and associated patient care.Electrophysiology: EP studies, cardiac ablations, cardioversions, advanced EP technologies, and implanted cardiac devices, including pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs).Procedural Safety and Recovery: Patient assessment, cardiac monitoring, safe medication administration, sedation, recognition of complications, and emergency response.Incentives and SupportSentara offers career advancement opportunities, professional development resources, tuition assistance, certification support, and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support you and your family.Compensation and BenefitsWe provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits.Additional compensation may be available based on the role and applicable eligibility requirements. The base pay range for full-time employment is $100,380.80 - $148,844.80 annually.
