Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Medical Surgical Nurse

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Medical Surgical unit, ensuring quality outcomes and adherence to protocols. This role requires flexibility to work various shifts and float to different departments as needed.

Deliver direct patient care utilizing appropriate medical procedures and protocols.

Operate and troubleshoot unit equipment such as Meditech EMR, pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes.

Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.

Maintain accurate documentation of patient status and interventions.

Adhere to hospital policies regarding infection control, safety, and confidentiality.

Complete department-specific training and orientation for assigned units.

Hold an active Hawaii nursing license prior to start date.

Possess 2 to 10 years of nursing experience in similar settings.

Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Demonstrate the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and various shift lengths.

Exhibit strong clinical skills and the ability to float between units as required.
