Regular College and Work-study Student Jobs Student employees are vital to the success of Carroll College, and e mployment can be a very important part of a student's experience at Carroll. Working while attending college can help to defer the cost of education, assist you in learning valuable time management skills, and give you transferable experience when you enter the job market. Most student employment positions are located on-campus, and when it comes to convenience, on-campus jobs can't be beat! Our Work-Study program does offer some opportunities as well that are available in our local community-based, non-profit, and/or governmental community service organizations. Work experience helps students develop a variety of skills, including communication and interpersonal skills. These skills, along with the skills gained through academic course work and extra-curricular activities will prove to be very useful in preparing students for future careers. T o be eligible to for these positions, a student must be admitted and registered at least half time (6 credit or more) and be in good academic standing during the current semester in which the student works. Current Position Openings Department: Facilities Services Duties and Responsibilities: Assist Facilities Services personnel by helping to maintain the buildings by working with the facilities staff or alone, performing different tasks associated with the field of maintenance, such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, furniture moving and deliveries. Qualifications: Must be responsible and dependable. Must be able to work with minimum supervision. Approximate Hours/Week: 10 – 15 hours per week Special Time/Schedule Requirements: Flexible - between 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday. Department: Grounds Duties and Responsibilities: Must be hardworking and safety minded at all time. Must be responsible and able to follow verbal instructions. Must be able to do heavy lifting. To help maintain the grounds and sidewalks on campus by working alone and with others. Performs different tasks associated with the care of grass, trash cleanup, landscaping, sprinkler repair, tree and hedge trimming, flower care, game field preparation, and snow removal as well as any other duties assigned. Minimum Qualifications to Perform the Duties of the Position : Must be a dedicated worker and responsible. Applicants should be experienced working with equipment as tractors, mowers, weed eaters, and etc. (This requisite is preferred, though not required. We will train.) Approximate Hours/Week: 10 – 15 hours per week Special Time/Schedule Requirements: Flexible - between 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday Applicant must be a current Carroll College student enrolled in at least 6 credits to be eligible to apply. Duties and Responsibilities: Film practices and games, organize equipment for practices, home games and away games as well as assist with other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Must have the ability to work independently and demonstrate confidentiality. Employment Specifications: Regular employment for the summer, then Work-Study preferred, but not required for the academic year. Approximate Hours/Week: 5 to 7 hours per week Special Time/Schedule Requirements: Various times with practices and games. Length of Employment: Summer and Academic Year Applicant must be a current Carroll College student enrolled in at least 6 credits to be eligible to apply. Department: Saints Success Center Duties and Responsibilities: Serve as a proctor in order to ensure integrity in the make-up/alternative testing environment. Work with the Director of Accessibility Services to ensure testing schedules are in order, tests are ready and secure, special testing instructions are clear, test takers are processed into the Testing Center efficiently/correctly and monitored during their exams, and tests are returned to the Director of Accessibility. Qualifications: Ability to attend to details of process, keep clear records, maintain confidentiality of test takers, communicate clearly and decisively with test takers, and communicate effectively with other staff members. Employment Specifications: Work-Study preferred, but not required. Approximate Hours/Week: 5 to 7 hours per week Special Time/Schedule Requirements: Weekly hours, and 1 shift during finals week each semester. The SAA connects alumni, donors, and community members to Carroll’s student-athlete experience through fundraising, events, and engagement initiatives that advance Saints Athletics' mission. Position Overview The SAA Operations & Marketing Intern will provide direct support to the day-to-day functions of the Saints Athletic Association. This position offers hands‑on experience in nonprofit/booster organization operations, event management, donor communications, and sports marketing, making it an excellent opportunity for students pursuing careers in athletic administration, sports marketing, or nonprofit management. Responsibilities Event Support Assist with planning and execution of signature SAA events, including the Rick Blessinger Memorial Golf Tournament, the Shindig, and the Annual Saints Athletic Association Auction Support event logistics, volunteer coordination, and day‑of operations Learn and utilize event‑specific software platforms to support registration, auction management, bidding, and other operational functions as required by individual SAA events Assist with post‑event follow‑up, including donor acknowledgment and recap materials Membership & Communications Oversee SAA membership registration processes and maintain accurate membership records Serve as a point of contact for member inquiries and correspondence Assist in drafting and distributing member communications, newsletters, and updates Marketing & Digital Content Create and manage content for SAA social media platforms Design graphics and promotional materials for events and membership campaigns Assist with updates and content management for the SAA website Qualifications Required Currently enrolled at Carroll College with at least sophomore standing Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Availability during evening and weekend events as scheduled Preferred Experience with graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar) Interest in athletic administration, sports marketing, or nonprofit operations Prior involvement with Carroll Athletics or campus organizations Submit a resume and brief cover letter to Charlie Gross, Director of Athletics, Carroll College (View email address on click.appcast.io).
