Lafayette School Corporation School Bus AttendantSalary: $13.18 per hour/ approximately 4 hours each day/ while school is in session only Reports to: Director of Transportation Job Function: Assists driver with transporting students to and from school Advancement: Opportunity for advancement to bus driver with training providedKey DutiesProper loading and unloading of students to assure safety and minimal risk of danger to persons and damage to equipment.Complete training for proper securement of child safety restraint systems.Accurate completion of all necessary paperwork. I.e.: seating charts.Development and maintenance of professional and effective relations between the transportation department, bus driver, students, parents, and school personnel.Professional representation of Lafayette School Corporation and the student transportation industry through responsible and safe student management.Position Specifications: Must be a minimum of 21 years of age. Must have a current Indiana Title 20 physical. Have good communication skills. Be able to follow instructions and take directions from assigned bus driver and transportation office staff. Maintain a current CPR and First Aid Certification.
