Qualifications & Experience

• Valid state certification or licensure as a School Social Worker
• Previous experience working in an educational or youth services setting, preferably within schools
• Understanding of social-emotional learning, crisis intervention, and individualized student supports
• Strong assessment, counseling, and advocacy skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and families
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address academic, behavioral, and emotional needs
• Assess students' social and emotional functioning to develop effective support strategies
• Bridge communication between school, home, and community resources
• Design and implement prevention and intervention programs
• Respond to crisis situations and provide immediate support
• Maintain detailed case records and develop progress reports
• Advocate for student needs as part of multidisciplinary teams
