Responsibilities Your Responsibilities & Role Impact As a Registered Dental Hygienist at Michiana Smiles, you will: Partner with doctors in creating personalized, comprehensive treatment plans Deliver patient education using the AAP (American Academy of Periodontology) guidelines Foster long-term patient relationships through trust, empathy, and communication Support a preventative-care mindset across all aspects of treatment Contribute to a culture that values quality, not just quantity Sterilize all dental equipment to make sure everything is properly cleaned Make impressions of patients’ teeth to ensure their mouthguards, dentures, etc. are made correctly Identify dental issues such as periodontitis, gingivitis, or cavities so they can be treated as soon as possible Prevent tooth decay by providing a thorough dental cleaning and applying protective sealants, such as fluoride Give guidance to patients about how to have good dental care at home after undergoing an operation or procedure Qualifications Active Registered Dental Hygienist license in Indiana Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited dental hygiene program Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills A growth mindset and commitment to team success In-depth knowledge of dental safety regulations and HIPAA regulations Capable of standing all day to assist patients 1-2 years of work experience as a dental hygienist Understands HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines Current CPR certification Has dental hygienist licensure in the state where the job is located Compensation $83,000 - $92,000 yearly About Michiana Smiles Why Michiana Smiles?
