Entry level Machinist

We are seeking an entry-level to junior-level Machinist to join a precision manufacturing and machine shop environment. This is a full-time, non-exempt opportunity for someone with hands-on machining experience who is looking to continue developing their skills across CNC and manual machining equipment. The ideal candidate will have a solid mechanical aptitude, some experience operating machinery, and the ability to read basic engineering prints and inspect parts to quality standards. This is a great opportunity for a machinist who wants to build a long-term career in precision manufacturing. You’ll gain hands-on experience with CNC lathes, machining centers, and manual equipment while learning machine setup, program editing, inspection techniques, and GD&T. You’ll work alongside experienced machinists and mechanical engineers in a team-oriented environment where there is plenty of opportunity to learn, take on additional responsibility, and grow your technical skills. Required Skills & Experience High school diploma or GED Approximately 1-2+ years of experience with CNC or manual machining equipment Experience with CNC machinery, manual mills, lathes, grinders, drills, or similar equipment Basic understanding of machining processes and machine operation Ability to read and interpret basic engineering prints Understanding of basic datums, tolerances, and GD&T Ability to use basic inspection and measurement tools Ability to measure and gauge machined parts accurately Basic machine setup experience or willingness to learn Basic CNC program editing experience or willingness to learn Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to work independently while also contributing to a small team Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn and grow Desired Skills & Experience Experience operating CNC lathes or machining centers Experience with manual milling machines or lathes Experience making basic machine adjustments to maintain part quality Exposure to CNC programming or program editing Experience with precision measurement tools Basic mechanical assembly experience Previous experience in a precision manufacturing environment Familiarity with ISO quality systems Experience working directly with engineers or manufacturing teams Technical school, vocational training, or machining coursework What You Will Be Doing Operate CNC machines based on training and assigned equipment Perform manual machining operations as needed Load, cycle, and inspect machined parts Assist with basic machine setup and make program edits as needed Read engineering drawings and follow print specifications Learn and apply GD&T, datums, tolerances, and drawing views Measure and inspect parts using appropriate inspection tools Perform basic mechanical assembly as required Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment in good working condition Troubleshoot basic machining issues and communicate problems to senior machinists or supervisors Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures Work with mechanical engineers and other manufacturing employees as needed Take on additional machining responsibilities as skills and experience develop Tech Breakdown 35% CNC Machine Operation 20% Manual Machining 15% Machine Setup & Program Editing 15% Inspection / Measurement / Quality 10% Maintenance & Troubleshooting 5% Assembly / Manufacturing Support Daily Responsibilities 70% Hands-On Machining & Machine Operation 15% Setup & Program Adjustments 10% Inspection & Quality Control 5% Team Collaboration & Learning The Offer Full-time, non-exempt position Entry-level to junior-level opportunity with room for growth Hands-on training across CNC and manual machining equipment Opportunity to develop CNC setup and programming skills Exposure to precision inspection, GD&T, and engineering drawings Opportunity to work alongside experienced machinists and mechanical engineers Clear path to take on more advanced machining responsibilities as your skills develop Collaborative manufacturing environment You will receive the following benefits: Medical Insurance Dental Benefits Vision Benefits Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid Holidays 401(k) Employee Training and Development Opportunities Opportunities for Career Advancement Collaborative Team Environment Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future. #J-18808-Ljbffr
