Fleet Administrator

We’re looking for an Equipment Compliance Coordinator to join our team and help ensure tractors and trailers remain compliant with federal, state, and local regulations. In this role, you’ll work directly with contracted drivers and inspection facilities, review and research DOT documentation, and help resolve equipment compliance issues. Schedule: 4 days on / 4 days off | 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide resolution for tractor and trailer equipment issues and inspection facility questions through phone and email Review, interpret, research, and update Department of Transportation (DOT) inspections Review and update tractor and trailer maintenance reports, federal periodic inspections, and purchase orders according to established procedures Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Prepare routine reports and correspondence with accuracy and attention to detail Communicate equipment compliance, DOT, and state/local requirements to contracted drivers Assist with DOT-required drug and alcohol testing processes Research available resources and determine appropriate resolutions to equipment compliance issues Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED At least 1 year of experience in office coordination, administrative support, internal customer service, or a combination of these areas Preferred Qualifications 1+ year of transportation experience 1+ year of experience with DOT requirements, specifically Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations Mechanical knowledge is a plus Familiarity with IBM iSeries (AS/400) is a plus What We’re Looking For Strong problem-solving and research skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to clearly explain regulations, procedures, and technical information Ability to work effectively under pressure and make sound decisions #J-18808-Ljbffr Ascendo Resources
