About the Position

Job Title: CVOR Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Experience in cardiovascular/thoracic, transplant, and robotics preferred. Ability to float within facility/scope of practice and to Main OR as needed. Must be fully compliant to start on time. Description: The position requires candidates to have experience in cardiovascular/thoracic care. Call requirements and weekend coverage will be discussed during the interview. The candidate must be willing to work on major holidays as needed. If one major holiday falls within the assignment, the traveler is expected to work it. If two or three major holidays fall within the assignment, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day. The candidate will undergo a clinical screen to determine fit for the unit. If the clinical screen is passed and within guidelines, the candidate will be sent to management for final decision. The unit caters to adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. Interdisciplinary support will be available. There is a focus on various cardiovascular procedures and care techniques. The work environment will allow for the development of skills related to advanced surgical procedures. Daily patient ratios and staffing will be managed in accordance with standard practices. Candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare setting.
