Job Description

EPS Corporation is looking for purchasing administrator to work at our headquarters in Tinton Falls, NJ.


Under the supervision of the Director of Purchasing, purchases a variety of standardized, expendable items from suppliers through contact with sales representatives or vendors; performs related work as required

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Orders by phone or written contract such items as paper goods, paints, parts, office supplies; and other standardized, expendable items.

• Contacts requisitioning personnel with the company to clarify information concerning items to be purchased, to obtain approval of substitute items or changes in delivery dates, and to ensure that the price quoted by suppliers is satisfactory and reasonable and that funds are available.

• Maintains personal contact with visiting sales representatives and telephone contacts with sales offices of suppliers; meets with vendors and sales representatives to discuss current or new products, availability of products, and prices and delivery information.

• Prepares purchase orders for non-stocked items and contracted items when there is a need for such items; works with departments to establish lead time ordering schedules for items stocked and to check and approve completed purchase documents for payment.

• Checks to assure that items ordered are delivered by a specified date to meet the needs of the company; corresponds with vendors and manufacturers to resolve any problem in shipping or delivery of items.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Experience in using Microsoft Office.

Experience using Accounting System. (CostPoint Preferred)

Some finance background preferred.


Reliable, responsible, discreet, and ability to work under pressure.
