Job Summary: The physician in the Cross-Cover role will work across multiple settings within the Behavioral Health department, including Inpatient, Outpatient, Consultation-Liaison Service, Child & Adolescent, and the Psychiatric Emergency Center, based on staffing needs determined by department clinical leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinates multidisciplinary care to optimize patient outcomes.
• Reviews medical charts to assess, diagnose, treat, and educate patients and families.
• Refers patients to appropriate services as needed.
• Ensures care delivery aligns with JPS Health Network and Acclaim Physician Group guidelines.
• Provides evidence-based, compassionate care to improve outcomes and patient satisfaction.
• Demonstrates patient-centered and value-driven behavior.
• Collaborates with referring physicians, residents, clinical, and support staff to ensure high-quality care.
• Supports academic, educational and research initiatives, providing ample opportunities for professional growth and development.
• Participates in Performance Improvement Programs and Peer Review committees.
• Builds positive relationships with staff, partners, patients, and the community to enhance the JPS Health Network and Acclaim Physician Group experience, fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.
• Serves as a community resource.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Position-Specific Details:

• Provider Schedule: 40 hours/week (M-F)
• Call Schedule: Yes – Inpatient Weekend Call Rotation

Qualifications:

• Current Medical Doctor (M.D) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited school of medicine.
• Residency and/or Fellowship trained in Psychiatry.

• Proficiency in the use of electronic health records (EHR).
