Connect Staffing is hiring a Production Lead for a vinyl manufacturing facility in Placentia, CA. This is a temp-to-hire position paying $20/hr, Monday–Friday with weekend flexibility required. In this role, you will oversee converting line operations — setting up and cleaning wet-end equipment, monitoring coating output, and correcting defects to maintain product quality. Up to 3 hours of overtime is available.

Pay: $20.00

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2PM-10:30 PM must be flexible and available weekends

Responsibilities

• Set up and clean wet-end equipment including the coating head, pump, and filters at the start and end of each shift.
• Unload rolls from the casting line machine and move them to the appropriate staging area.
• Monitor the casting line for proper coating and film properties, and make process or equipment adjustments as needed.
• Identify coating defects and take corrective action to eliminate them.
• Inspect material for defects, flag questionable material, and notify the Quality Assurance department.
• Read shop orders, material part numbers, and weekly product schedules to guide production activities.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of recent manufacturing experience.
• 1+ year of lead or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating or monitoring a continuous casting or coating line.
• Familiarity with quality inspection processes and defect identification.
• Ability to read and interpret shop orders, part numbers, and production schedules.
• Experience working with industrial chemicals or environments with strong process odors.

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and frequently.
• Ability to work at a fast pace throughout the shift.
• Steel toe boots required
• Must be able to tolerate strong industrial process odors.
• Drug screen required.
• Background check required.
• E-Verify / work authorization required.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must communicate effectively in English.
