Registered Nurse - (Temporary)

Position Title Registered Nurse (S) Location & Hours Governor Morehead School for the Blind, 301 Ashe Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27606 Sunday: 6:00pm–12:00am Monday‑Thursday: 3:30pm–12:00am Description This temporary position provides professional nursing care and treatment for students with visual impairments. The nurse will develop care plans, conduct assessments, implement and evaluate treatment plans, and provide patient care and education through case management. The role involves creating an environment that helps students achieve maximum functioning or recovery. Responsibilities Perform professional nursing care and treatment for students with visual impairments. Develop nursing care plans based on diagnosis and pertinent medical information. Conduct nursing assessments, developing, implementing, and evaluating treatment plans. Provide patient care and education through case management. Set up an environment to assist students in obtaining maximum level of functioning or recovery. Qualifications Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina. Compensation Hourly Rate: $29.00 (based on education and/or years of relevant work experience). Effective July12025 the minimum qualifications are defined by the education and experience listed in the class specification. Temporary employees working an average of 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High‑Deductible Health Plan (HDHP).
