About the Company Sunstates Security is a leading security provider offering a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive work environment. Position Part‑Time Security Officer – FortWayne, IN. Compensation Starting pay rate of $17.00 per hour, paid weekly. Responsibilities A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP, and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives. Requirements One year of security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred. Reliable means of transportation and communication. Excellent customer service skills. Professional appearance. Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time and distance. Always available for phone communication. Mentally analyze a situation, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure. Read and understand written instructions, and communicate information and ideas in a clear and concise written form. Exceptional report writing skills. Willing and able to work holidays and weekends. Willing to work in all weather conditions. Able to work independently. Ability to pass federal criminal background and drug screen. Education Requirements High School diploma or equivalent.
